WACCA members believe in giving back to the society in which they live and work and have been supporters and donors to:

• The Ottawa Construction Association campaign for the Regional Cancer Telethon
• The ALS Society of Ontario
• The Abruzzo Earthquake Relief Fund
• The Red Dress Charity Golf Classic for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute

And

Our major charities in 2010 were Rogers House through the Ottawa Sens Foundation and The Ottawa Hospital Foundation supporting the treatment of prostate cancer.

Roger’s House is a palliative care facility where parents can stay with their kids as they undergo major treatment. Our donation to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation has helped with the purchase of the daVinci Surgical Robot, a powerful tool for use in prostate and other surgeries.

Our four fund raising golf events have raised over $180,000 for our important charities.
